ETERNAL BEAUTY
Esperanza is a traditionally female name of Spanish origin, meaning ‘hope’. In this series, the work presents a visual narrative that underscores the vital role our elders play in society. Drawing inspiration from the concept of a ‘Golden Age’—a nostalgic, often idealized period of peace and prosperity—the photographic reportage explores the figure of the elder as a bearer of wisdom and experience.
The series explores the ‘irruption of the elderly adult in our society,’ highlighting the social challenges and implications of aging. It advocates for their rightful place in the public sphere, one that recognizes both their valuable contributions and the natural limitations that come with age.
